Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I have to be?

7 years and up for all Ear Piercing while those aged 18 and under must bring a guardian. Photographic ID will be requested from those who look to be under-aged.

What age can I get my nipple pierced?

18 years upward and yes, you must have photo ID.

Is piercing with an ear/nose instrument dangerous?

Absolutely not!  We use a professional hand pressured instrument which does NOT shatter the cartilage!

What metal do you pierce with?

We pierce all needle piercings with high grade titanium. Ear piercings are 9ct gold, white gold or yellow gold.

Will it hurt?

You will feel a little discomfort initially, but for the majority of piercings we use a safe numbing spray which dilutes pain and helps ease those early moments

Do I need sugar before a piercing?

Yes, having something sweet before a piercing increases sugar levels which can prevent dizziness and fainting, its best to bring a fizzy drink for after the piercing as well

How do I clean a piercing?

We sell two types of cleaning solution - one saline and one antiseptic. When you come for your piecing your piercer will give you an after care sheet which has an in depth explanation of sanitary cleaning.

What do I do if I get an infection?

We can only explain how to keep your piercing clean, but neglecting to clean your piercing can cause an infection. While it may be tempting, don’t fiddle with your piercing, especially if you have dirty fingers. If an infection occurs, increase cleaning up to 3 times a day using antiseptic, or alternatively seek medical attention.

Is the piercing studio clean and safe?

100% yes! We are council approved and take great care to ensure a sterile and safe studio. All equipment has been put through the autoclave and all needles are disposed of after use!
